Canoe and bicycle rental
Right next to Gammelgården is the Fågelsjön, which offers fantastic views on a tour with the canoe. Rent a canoe at the museum and paddle off on an adventure. Bicycles are also available for rent if you want to pedal away on the charming roads instead.

Bakery
Next to the bridge in the village is the bakery, which is used for everything from pizza baking to traditional thin bread baking. Book the baking cabin for your own baking.

Community center
The spacious community hall in the middle of the village can be rented for various occasions such as special days and in connection with baptisms, funerals, weddings, etc. The equipment in the kitchen is enough to set the table for at least 70 people. There are also 3 toilets and 2 showers here.

Inland Railway
The Inlandsbanan passes by the Fågelsjö Station and stops for a short coffee break. There is the option of staying over in the village and visiting Gammelgården. The hiking trail to the farm is about 3 km long.

Chapel
The village has a chapel where church services are also held occasionally. The village of Fågelsjö originated with the settlement of Forest Finns in the 17th century. Between 1862 and 1869, the villagers built the "school and prayer house" that is known today as Fågelsjö Chapel. The chapel is a panel log house resting on a stone foundation. Originally, the building housed a sanctuary and a classroom, as well as living quarters for the teacher. A renovation was carried out in 1931, giving the chapel its current character, featuring brown-painted wooden paneling and windows with small-paned antique glass in the chancel area. The interior was designed by the artist Gustav Ankarcrona. The bell tower was built in 1953, and during the 1980s, the paintwork in the sanctuary was touched up; the walls of the sacristy (or small hall) were painted based on the style found at the Fågelsjö Gammelgård heritage farm. See https://www.svenskakyrkan.se/ljusnan for upcoming events.

Craft Shop
At Gammelgården there is a craft shop where local artisans sell beautiful and exciting products.
